Little rabbit liked living in the city. She had her own place to stay, her favourite café and so many things to see and do.
小兔子喜欢住在城市里。她有自己喜欢待的地方，她最喜欢的咖啡馆，很多好看好玩的。
But at night, when everything was quiet and Little Rabbit was all alone, she would look up at the moon and wonder if there was someone out there.
但是在晚上，当一切都安静下来，小兔子会感到孤独，她会抬头看月亮，想想世界的某个地方是不是有人在等待自己。
Someone she could play with, laugh with and have fun with.Someone just like her.
是不是有人可以和她一起玩耍、一起欢笑、一起快乐。跟她相似的人。
It would be nice to meet another little rabbit, she thought.
她想，如果能遇到另一只兔子就好了。
When the city became very busy, little Rabbit would go to the park to read her book.
每当城市变得喧闹，小兔子就会去公园读她的书。
One day, as Little Rabbit read, she heard the most beautiful music floating on the air.She lay back and listened.
有一天，小兔子正在读书，她听到了最美妙的音乐在空气中浮动。她躺到树上聆听音乐。
The park was so peaceful and the sun was so warm that Little Rabbit’s eyes began to close and very soon she was fast asleep.
公园是如此宁静，阳光如此温暖，小兔子开始慢慢闭上眼睛，然后很快地进入梦乡。
When Little Rabbit woke up, the sun had gone and the moon was shining brightly. It was past Little Rabbit’s bedtime.
小兔子醒来时，太阳已经西沉，月亮照耀大地。现在已经过了小兔子一般睡觉的时间。
But in the distance she could still hear music and it was the kind of music she liked.So Little Rabbit picked up her book and followed the sound through the trees. And there she saw…a rabbit!
但她仍然能听到远处传来的音乐，正好是她喜欢的音乐类型。于是小兔子捡起她的书，跟着声音穿过树林。在那里她看到……看到了一只兔子！
A brown rabbit who was playing a guitar, making music that made Little Rabbit want to dance.So she stayed for a while.
那是一只棕色的兔子，他正在弹吉他，这音乐让小兔子想跳舞。所以她驻足了一段时间。
As Brown Rabbit played, Little Rabbit danced.
他弹着吉他，小兔子跳着舞。
Then Little Rabbit told tales of the city and Brown Rabbit listened.Together they watched the changing moon until the birds sang to the morning sun.And for a while Little Rabbit forgot about her life back in the city.
然后小兔子把关于城市的故事说给棕色兔子听。他们一起看月亮的变化直到鸟儿迎着早晨的太阳歌唱。小兔子一度忘了她在城市里的生活。
The two rabbits had picnics in the sunshineand games of hide and seek.

They made each other laugh and Little Rabbit was happy to have found a new friend.
他们让对方开怀大笑。小兔子很高兴自己找到了一个新朋友。
But then, one dark night, Little Rabbit saw the city lights glowing in the distance and suddenly felt sad.
但是，在一个漆黑的夜晚,，小兔子看见远处城市的灯光，她突然感到悲伤。
“The city is so beautiful,” she signed.Brown Rabbit was quiet. How could anything be as beautiful as the moonlit park, he thought.

Brown Rabbit didn’t like to see his new friend feeling sad, so he played his guitar and danced around Little Rabbit.

He even stood on his head. Anything to make her laugh or to see her smile.But there was nothing he could do to make her happy.

“It’s time for me to go home,” said Little Rabbit.
“我该回家了,”小兔子说。
So, early the morning, Little Rabbit returned to the city.
一大早，小兔子就回到了城市。
Back to her home, back to her favourite café and back to all the things she liked to see and do.
回到她的家里，回到她最喜欢的咖啡馆，回到她喜欢看和做的一切。
And she no longer gazed at the moon and wondered if there was someone out there.Another little rabbit just like her.
她不抬头看月亮，不再想世界的某个地方是不是有人在等待自己。不再想是不是有另一个和自己相似的兔子。
Because she knew that there was.
因为她知道有这样的一只兔子。
And he was coming to visit the very next day.
而他明天就会来探望她了。
