今天带来的绘本是
Come to the Table
《吃饭啦！》
晚饭时间到了，
赶紧收拾碗筷吃饭啦！
“Dinner’s almost ready,” said Mom.
“Come and help me set the table.”
“I’ll do the plates,” said Tex.
“I’ll do the napkins and forks,” said Indi.
“OK, then I’ll get the water,” said Arizona.
“晚餐快做好了”，妈妈说，
“过来帮我整理下餐桌”。
“我来摆盘子”，特克斯说。
“我来放餐纸和叉子”，英迪说。
“好的，那我来倒水”，亚利桑那说。
Dad patted his stomach and said,
“This is my favorite part of the whole day!”
爸爸拍了拍肚子，说：
“这是一天当中我最喜欢的时候！”
“You mean the eating-dinner part?” asked Tex.
“I mean the eating-dinner-with-you-guys part!” said Dad.
“I agree,” said Mom.
“It’s great when the whole family can be together for dinner.”
“是指吃晚饭吗？”特克斯问。
“我是指跟你们一起吃晚饭！”爸爸说。
“我也这么认为”，妈妈说。
“最棒的就是全家人一起吃饭。”
“Wait,” said Indi.
“May I please be excused for a minute?”
“Hmm,” Mom said. “I guess so.”
Slowly and carefully, Indi scooted the recycling basket with a very sleepy cat over to her chair by the table.
“等等”，英迪说。“能等我一分钟吗？”
“唔”，妈妈说，“我想是可以的”。
英迪小心翼翼地把一只昏昏欲睡的小猫
从回收篮里慢慢挪到她的餐椅上。
“Well, well,” said Dad.
“It looks as if we have a furry little dinner guest.”
“好吧，好吧”，爸爸说。
“这看起来就像我们有一位毛绒绒的小客人。”
“Cow’s not a guest,” said Indi.
“He’s family!”
“Indi’s right,” said Tex.
“Now the whole family really is together!”
“卡尔不是客人”，英迪说。
“他是家庭成员！”
“英迪说的对”，特克斯说。
“现在才是全家人在一起吃饭啦！”
爸爸说最幸福的时刻是跟家人一起吃晚餐，你觉得呢？
